THE VENTRILOQUIST
SYNOPSIS
Writer Gaby Gaviota suffers from a terrible writer's block. To resolve it, she goes to Dr. Limestone, a specialist with a very particular therapeutic approach. Like in a ventriloquism show, the doctor makes his patient speak, who in turn gives voice to another who gives voice to another who gives voice to another... The Ventriloquist revolves around the discovery of a box within a box: a story within a story and a character within a character.
Who dreams whom? Does the boundary between reality and imagination really exist? These seem to be the questions the play poses. After all, are a ventriloquist and his doll one and the same? Perhaps not.
